Over time the performance gets slower because the connector needs to sort in and sort out all the changes in the mail structure to this store file. Kerio caches the mails including attachments locally in a store file that gets really big really fast. If you have really big boxes, 5 or 6 digit mail figures you really need to have fast I/O on the client machine. We are using Kerio on a Ubuntu server connecting to more than 200 Windowes clients (Windows 7, 8.1 and 10) using Outlook 2010, 20 for like 10 years now so I can provide some experience.

Re: Kerio Outlook Connector: Bad Windows Performance I don't understand why this problem seems not to be a subject of improvement? Are there at least any plans to address this issue in future? Most of the Windows Customers don't want to use the Webinterface or the Kerio Connect Client and insist of using Outlook, especially customers that switched from Exchange to Kerio. Don't get me wrong, Kerio Connect is a great product, but in connection with Outlook and Windows the lack of performance is really annoying. The performance of the Kerio Outlook connector hasn't been improved since many years. Now we have customers that seriously consider to switch back to Exchange. Those performance issues are a topic since several years. Customers complain about slow E-Mail search and delays when they switch between folders or from the E-Mail-View into the Calendar view etc. I just want to pick up on the Windows/Outlook performance topic again.
